We have been hearing about the rumors of Nvidia wanting to build its own tablet for months now.
Nvidia Tegra Tab
The renders leaked by My Drivers show the back of a 7 inch tablet with design inspired by Nvidia’s recently launched gaming console Shield. The back shows the rumored 5 MP camera sensor on the back with headphone jack, Micro USB and micro HDMI ports on the left side. A stylus slot is also visible on the right side. The display resolution is rumored to be 1280×736 for the 7 inch screen. Other rumored specifications include the obvious Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Tegra Tab 7
In a recent leak, the AnTuTu benchmark of the tablet has also been leaked. The device is nicknamed to be “Tegra Tab7-Premium” and will sport an 1820 MHz processor. The processor is expected to be Tegra 4 System-on-Chip as the device scored a decent 27643 on the benchmark.
As per the benchmark, the tablet will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. The tablet is supposed to come out of the disappointment of Nvidia that no other device than its own Shield console preferred to go with Tegra 4. Even major Android OEMs gave it a miss which could have forced Nvidia to come out with a Tegra 4 powered tablet of its own making.
